Patchwork should be "the short list of things from contributors we
urgently need to address". It should not be "the endlessly growing todo
list of patches no one has time to finish".

The patch in question has been marked "Under Review" for most of a year.
This is false. I reviewed it and rejected it. Abusing the "under review"
state for "incomplete, orphaned, but we should really fix that some day"
just screws up the stats and hides the actually interesting number of
"what's the oldest thing that's REALLY still under review?"

And now I've dropped it from patchwork, so tomorrow a slightly more
useful number will be exposed here: the multi-month age of Robert
Collins' could-be-dealt-with-in-5-minutes patch.
