Just to be clear -- when I'm talking about "friends" here, I mean "friend repos" (that presumably are *my own*), not other people that I choose to call my friends.... I completely agree that once a secret is let out beyond your own control, it is not properly considered a secret anymore. So I don't think that ACL is what I really want, but I will take a look and see if it can be used for solving the problem I am describing.
