          Priority: normal
            Bug ID: 4424
                CC: mercurial-devel at selenic.com
          Assignee: bugzilla at selenic.com
Summary: behaviour discrepancy between mq and hg (special
                    characters in patch names)
          Severity: bug
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: Linux
          Reporter: p.c-bugzilla at black-net.org
          Hardware: PC
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
           Version: 3.0.2
         Component: mq
           Product: Mercurial

After bug 2065, MQ doesn't allow colons (':') and hashes ('#') in patch names.
While this is certainly reasonable when one considers repositories need to work
on cross-system, it introduces a discrepancy between mq and mercurial itself.
Since hg allows colons in filenames (with a warning) and hashes right away, mq
now strictly forbids this.

I'm not sure in which direction this should be pushed, but since mq is
basically yet another hg repository I think it should be in sync with hg
behaviour.
