Mailing list formatting suggestion

I recently started lurking on several mercurial mailing lists with the
hopes of coming up to speed on the habits of the community and perhaps
someday becoming helpful.  But right away I ran into a problem of
finding many messages in my InBox that were not clearly associated
with mercurial.  I know that the mailman mailing list manager provides
the option of adding distinctive prefixes to the Subject lines of
messages, for example "[hg-user]" or "[hg-dev]".  I wonder if the
community here has considered actually using that option.  Having such
subject marks would certainly help me in managing my voluminous inbox.
Perhaps it would help others too.
