          Priority: normal
            Bug ID: 4645
                CC: mercurial-devel at selenic.com,
                    pierre-yves.david at ens-lyon.org
          Assignee: bugzilla at selenic.com
           Summary: evolve documentation is misleading: Evolve requires
                    the latest Mercurial version: 2.5
          Severity: bug
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: Linux
          Reporter: dimitri.papadopoulos at cea.fr
          Hardware: PC
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
           Version: unspecified
         Component: evolution
           Product: Mercurial

The documentation of the Evolve Extension is misleading:
  http://mercurial.selenic.com/wiki/EvolveExtension
It points to a specific Mercurial version presented as the latest, but it has
been obsolete for years:
  Evolve requires the latest Mercurial version: 2.5

The Evolve extension almost always requires bleeding edge Mercurial versions.
Currently:

$ hg --version
**** failed to import extension evolve from
/volatile/src/mutable-history/hgext/evolve.py: evolve needs version 3.3.3 or
above
Mercurial Distributed SCM (version 2.8.2)
...
$

I suggest you change the documentation to:
  At any moment Evolve requires the latest or almost latest Mercurial version
