Bundle2 and lightweight renames

It seems that bundle2 and general delta could be a few days to its 
general availability.

As I do not grasp all the internals of Mercurial, I'd like to understand:
- if this can be a breakthrough to get issue883 fixed: 
https://bz.mercurial-scm.org/show_bug.cgi?id=883
- if not, is everything is in place in bundle2 format to support this in 
the future?

After couple of redesign of our tree structure, clone time starts to be 
painful.
