            Bug ID: 4848
Summary: rebase should learn how to skip revisions based on
                    successors
           Product: Mercurial
           Version: default branch
          Hardware: PC
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: feature
          Priority: wish
         Component: evolution
          Assignee: bugzilla at selenic.com
          Reporter: durin42 at gmail.com
                CC: mercurial-devel at selenic.com,
                    pierre-yves.david at ens-lyon.org

Laurent has been working on this, but putting it into the BTS for tracking.
Basically if I've got some obsolete changes locally and I rebase them onto @,
and @ contains their successors, rebase should notice the markers and do the
reasonable thing of skipping the obsoleted changes.
