            Bug ID: 5177
           Summary: Error in `hg help -v remove`
           Product: Mercurial
           Version: 3.7.3
          Hardware: PC
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: bug
          Priority: wish
         Component: Mercurial
          Assignee: bugzilla at selenic.com
          Reporter: faheem at faheem.info
                CC: mercurial-devel at selenic.com

The help page for `rm` seems a bit contradictory.

`hg help -v rm` has

    Note:
'hg remove' never deletes files in Added [A] state from the working
directory, not even if "--force" is specified.

And shortly below that...

-f --force remove (and delete) file even if added or modified

As far as I know, the note is correct, though I'd appreciate a confirmation of
this.
