            Bug ID: 5096
Summary: "revert -i $descendant" shows patch to apply reversed
           Product: Mercurial
           Version: 3.7.1
          Hardware: PC
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: feature
          Priority: wish
         Component: Mercurial
          Assignee: bugzilla at selenic.com
          Reporter: martinvonz at google.com
                CC: mercurial-devel at selenic.com

When I want to move some pieces of a commit to a previous commit, I sometimes
check out the previous commit and "hg revert -i $descendant". Unfortunately,
the diff that is shown is the the reverse of what will be applied. I understand
why this is, but for descendants (and probably anything but direct ancestors),
it's very confusing.
