I wonder whether it would be possible to add a specific option for the log
command to follow only files (in fact I wonder why it is not there already),
something like --follow-files or so.

Such an option I would like to have set as default in my .hgrc file (in form of
an alias).

Having an alias log = log --follow is quite impractical.
