GSoC 2016: time for student applications!

Hello all,

the Google Summer of Code timeline is progressing (see
https://summerofcode.withgoogle.com/ ), and it's time for student
applications.
Students can apply until the 25th of March.

Be sure to have a look at the application checklist and template:

Finally, send in your submission on the GSoC website:
https://summerofcode.withgoogle.com/student-signup/

The deadline is strict. To avoid network issues, it's probably best to
submit a few days earlier if you can do so.

Finally, we'd also like you to add yourself to the list of candidates, so
we have an early view on who are our potential students this year:
