I think we could shave one "head" of the first message

From: no open descendant heads on branch "%s", updating to a closed head
To:   no open descendant on branch "%s", updating to a closed head

To reduce the odd of having a too long message line (and reduce 
repetition of words but this might be a French pedantry)

I've taken the series anyway as this is already a huge improvement as is.
