            Bug ID: 5421
Summary: histedit should offer a way to un-do a successful
                    histedit
           Product: Mercurial
           Version: default branch
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: feature
          Priority: wish
         Component: histedit
          Assignee: bugzilla at selenic.com
          Reporter: durin42 at gmail.com
                CC: mercurial-devel at selenic.com

Right now, there's no way to perform a histedit and then decide after it's done
that it's not what you had in mind. There are (manual) steps to work around
this (either with 'hg unbundle' or 'hg touch' depending on whether the user is
using evolve), but it's very manual and the tool should notionally be able to
do better.

A good solution for this would probably also handle the same case for rebase.
