Oh, subrepos. "cat" is recursive by default, but "files" and friends aren't.
Is this a bug of "cat"?
$ hg files 'glob:**'
.hgsub
.hgsubstate
$ hg cat -T '{path}\n' 'glob:**'
.hgsub
.hgsubstate
sub/file
