diff + Windows + Linux + Eclipse

Are there any plans for storing text files in Mercurial in some
canonical format, then converting them before files go in, and after
they come out?

I've been running into this weird problem brought on by some insanely
stupid decision by the Eclipse people. They've decided, for some unholy
reason, to end all their lines in \r. No \n, just \r. Mercurial
doesn't care of course, since it eats binary files for breakfast. But
diff sure cares, and I can't use Mercurial to diff such files at all.

I sure would like to be able to diff them. :-)

Thanks,
