The timestamp lets me see how long ago a change was made. This is more
important to for me than knowing that the person who made the change did
it five minutes before tea.
I personally have no trouble with UTC. Particularly when dealing with
people in different time zones. It makes it easy to agree on a time zone
to use when coordinating actions.
