retagging with existing tag

Hi,

why is a new line *added* to .hgtags when I issue "hg tag" for a tag
name that already exists?  Shouldn't the old tag line be replaced?  Or
if there is a reason for this behavior, what about an option for
replacing an existing tag?

My use case is to keep a label for "latest greatest" that I want to
update when latest greatest moves.
