Hgk and cygwin

No, if you don't have it installed already, then it can't be the source of the 
problem.  I don't know why it works correctly for Daniel but not for us.

What I meant is the hgk works perfectly outside of cygwin.  Installing 
ActiveState won't help running it inside of cygwin.
