Yes I compressed the CVS repository with tar cj.

Yes, the tarball (uncompressed) of all the bundles goes down to 5.6M,
that's still almost twice as large but much much better than 8.9M ;).
I wonder if we can do something more than the bundle.
I guess adding an option to the bundle command so it doesn't require an
empty repository sounds a good idea (if not we could add a real
backup/restore that probably would be more self-explanatory).
