[issue268] hg "make install" needs asciidoc, should just give a warning

Trying to build via "make install" fails completely if 'asciidoc' isn't
installed. Worse, make -k install MAKEFLAGS=-k doesn't work either. It
would be good if I could use 'make install' despite the lack of this utility.
