fedora considering hg

There is a discussion on the fedora list:
<fedora-maintainers at redhat.com>

regarding moving release management to hg or perhaps git. If anyone would
like to contribute to that discussion.

Here is the original message:

I've spent some time creating a proof-of-concept of dist-hg, that is the
Extras package source controll converted from CVS to mercurial. It is now
ready for some testing other than myself. Getting packages out, making and
committing changes, tagging, and building all are functional.

If you'd like to test it out, please see
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Infrastructure/VersionControl/dist-hg

For more information regarding version controll system change (like why we
need to do it) see
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Infrastructure/VersionControl

Next up on my plate is a dist-git proof of concept.
