In the cons list for Mercurial, there's a mention to the lack of support
for it in Eclipse. You should have a look to
http://www.vectrace.com/mercurialeclipse/
I haven't used it and don't know whether it's working fine or not, but
at least it looks like a feasible solution.

Also, I'd point that speed should be listed as a pro as in the git case,
as both have comparable performance.

Some upstream projects use Mercurial too, as Xen, ALSA...
