I don't think OpenSolaris will convert their older history to Hg.

There are probably commit logs, and other historical information in the
Solaris codebase, which are not exportable to the world, i.e. because
they contain confidential information for either Sun or its clients.

What OpenSolaris did was start with a ``flag day'' import of the Solaris
codebase, which appears as revision 0 in the public onnv-gate repository:

% keramida at kobe:/home/keramida/hg/onnv-gate$ hg log -r0
% changeset: 0:68f95e015346
% user: stevel at tonic-gate
% date: Tue Jun 14 00:00:00 2005 -0700
% summary: OpenSolaris Launch
%
% keramida at kobe:/home/keramida/hg/onnv-gate$

This is what Mozilla will do, if I understood correctly the blog
entry at: http://weblogs.mozillazine.org/preed/2007/04/version_control_system_shootou_1.html
