mercurial-queues, can they record file-copying?

hi,

i see that mercurial queues (MQ from now on) are often proposed as 
solutions to some scenarios with mercurial..

as far as i understand, MQ maintains the changes as patches.
now, is MQ able to record also changes that are usually not recordable 
in patches?

for example, if i copy a file in a change, then mercurial can record 
this information.

can also MQ record it?

(the same about renames etc.)
