Im confuesed and lost : Using mercurial

Hi
It seems so dam difficult to understand and use .. 

I`m trying to use mercurial as a control version server on linux (fedora 7) and use a client so that the programmers can use it from windows XP.

1.http://tortoisehg.sourceforge.net/  ..i can´t download it from there? cant see how to download it, is seems very very very complicated . please help 

2. How do I create the modules ,submodules for that repository? and where on the servers end on the clients end buff so confused its so different than cvsnt .

Repo 1
         module x
              submodule x1
              submodule x2
              submodule x3
              submodule x4
         module y ... etc
.. ...

normally i created the repository at the servers end and the modules from the clients end. (tortoise) and then just forgot about the servers end.

Everythng i find on the net and on the oficial mercurials web site doesnt help or confuses me even more.

3. Ive registered myself on the mailing list, how do i browse the mailing list for (problems and solutions, tools) etc
