I spent some time trying to make Mercurial like OpenBSD's patch(1),
but I really recommend running crew instead. mpatch, the (very nice)
Python patch implementation, has been included in crew for a few
weeks now, and it works wonderfully. Since its inclusion, all tests
(including debuginstall) pass on OpenBSD.

crew[0] is generally stable; I haven't had any problems in
day-to-day use in a long time.
