We try to avoid incompatible changes here and will mention them in the
release notes.

Similarly here, if it's stuff we expect people to parse.

Occassionally we make messages more readable, but no, these rarely
make it to release notes.

Yes, all the groundwork is in place but there are currently no
translations.
