Nice, agreed. Not sure if it would be worth the additional complexity
(additional risk and maintenance) or overhead.

I only seem to rename files when I screw up my initial checkin, which
shouldn't be an issue as nobody is forcing me to push. However, I
suppose you could really bloat your database if you do a lot of
refactoring, or if a peer just doesn't care about getting it right the
first time.

Sounds like a real pain to implement and maintain, though.
