Unfortunately I'm unable to publish the repos.

I'm almost positive I'm doing something wrong :-)

>Can you verify the id is the same on both trees and then verify both repos?
I did verify both repos and checked their id's (which match exactly in both cases).

>If you clone both repos and do this same thing in the clones, does it work?
It happens exactly the same way if I try and repeat the process from cloned versions of the previous changeset.

>What OS and mercurial versions are you using?
I'm using Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon 64-bit with mercurial 0.9.5.

One thing, I noticed when I do an 'hg view' in the local branch the tip changeset description is in italics while the trunk tip changeset description is not? Not sure if this means anything to anyone, but here's hoping.

Thanks so much for all the help,

Ty

  Mystery.

I don't suppose it's possible to publish these repos is it?

I'd have to believe you're doing something wrong since this would be a fairly fundamental thing for mercurial to get wrong.

Can you verify the id is the same on both trees and then verify both repos?

If you clone both repos and do this same thing in the clones, does it work?

What OS and mercurial versions are you using?

The changes have been committed in myLocalBranch.
I issued these commands in myLocalBranch:

hg status # result: no changes
hg update # result: no changes
hg heads # result: only shows the tip changeset

Also, I've always been able to see my new changes in the branch folder.
To complicate things even further, if I do another clone of the trunk on my server, the changes are visible in the filesystem.
This is such a strange problem.

Thanks for your continued help with this.

Ty

Are the changes committed in your local branch? It would make sense that you were not seeing them if they were not there.

Check status over there, particularly on the files you expect to be updating.

Hi Dustin,

Thank you for your quick response.

Here is the exact sequence (from my local clone of the trunk):

1) hg pull # result: no changes
2) hg pull
../myLocalBranch # result: new changeset added to local trunk
3) hg update # result: changeset added

--- as I understand it, if I get this far without any messages about merging, I should be up to date yes?
--- my files inside the trunk do not have the latest changes from myLocalBranch

4) hg status # result: no changes
5) hg commit # result: no changes
6) hg merge # result: no changes
7) hg status # result: no changes
8) hg update # result: no changes

--- I'm a bit confused so I repeat the entire
process again (including pulling from the trunk on the server and from myLocalBranch), only this time every command shows no changes

9) hg heads # result: my latest changeset is the only item listed
10) hg view # result: I see the changes in the tip correctly
11) hg push # result: changeset added to my trunk on the server
12) visit url of my trunk on the server and it shows all my new changes in the tip
13) ssh into my server to look at the trunk folder # result: the changes do not appear on the filesystem there either

Do you have any idea what I've done wrong here?

Thanks again for your help,

Ty

These all have meaning. Can you list the sequence of commands you entered between a tree state you understand and one you don't?
