In particular, that 'hg merge' fails to work as it normally would if you 
are in a repo with a non-default named branch. Seems like it would be 
straightforward to fix merge so that if called without arguments in a 
repo with exactly one extra head in the currently active branch, it 
would merge that head, regardless of the possible presence of heads in 
other branches. Similarly, 'hg fetch' should ignore other branches.
