Maybe some working examples will help?
My hgweb.config for http://hg.tedpavlic.com/ contains:
[collections]
/home/tedpavlic/hg/ = /home/tedpavlic/hg/
[web]
style = gitweb
baseurl =
Inside /home/tedpavlic/hg, there are several Mercurial repos. Each of
those repos has a local .hg/hgrc file that contains
contact/description/style/allow/stripes lines in a [web] section.
Similarly, my hgweb.config for a site like http://www.site.com/hg/ contains:
[collections]
/home/tedly/hg/ = /home/tedly/hg/
[web]
style = gitweb
baseurl = /hg
I hope that helps...
