... then why don't you begin using Hg with your workflow and change that 
workflow a bit, every time you feel like it? 

With Hg you can do that.

PS: Yes, I know I just turned around the content of the Dougs mail. 
I think that this way of talking with users is a bit more efficient on the 
long run.
