Merge on push?

Why on earth would you vote on someone else's policy?

It ought to be obvious to you that your experience has to do with the
number of developers you have, how often they check in, and how long
it takes to build and test your system. A system that takes 2 hours to
build isn't capable of running a quick 5-minute test. And many
projects have much less of a problem with untested merges. And with
just these 3 variables in play, you'll have a lot of combinations.

It's very interesting to hear your experiences. It's less interesting
to hear you telling other people what they should be allowed to do,
when their circumstances are really different from yours. I suspect
that many existing projects using mercurial use nearly the CVSesque
change flow that was described, only with manual merging.
