I don't think I'd want even more data held locally. All it takes is a switch
from my laptop to my desktop to lose that information, or force me to sync it
outside of Hg (rsync or similar). 

Right now I'm trying versioned patch queues, and pushing those to make the
patches available in all of the places where I work. It is cumbersome though.
