Ah, interesting. So it is about the WIN application which uses the unicode API or another API which has to be told about a character set? Mercurial on WIN has to know about the character set of a repo and then use the correct API?
Well, I think I should exit from this discussion now -- I don't use a repo on both systems (at least for now) and I'm no mercurial dev...
