Right.  That's how I do it.  Of course, if you check in on both sides without 
synchronization, you cannot sync with unison without losing something.  But I 
am so used to synchronizing with "unison -auto" regularly in order to prevent 
such "conflicts" that it does not occur, and then you could still merge the 
two repos manually.
