Hi Matt,

I tested SVK and finally ended up with the same problems concerning absent 
transcoding on my windows console...

Subversion itself (via TortoiseSVN) does work fine, but SVK would NOT
mirror the linux hosted svn repo to the windows machine using transcoding!

So there's also an inconsistency here. It's not only mercurial! ;)
