Oh, there's a misunderstanding: Now that I am using hg, there's no problem for 
the future.  But this is about code written in the past, based on code 
fetched from CVS.  Actually, I even have CVS/Entries in some of the 
directories; this could possible be of some help.  (But the fact that there's 
not a single revision does scream for a scripted solution..)
