Tiny discrepancy in pull vs. push help -- I think

The help text for the -r options on push and pull read as follows:
pull: a specific revision up to which you would like to pull
push: a specific revision you would like to push
Is it really the case that push allows you to push a single, specific
revision while pull only allows you to pull everything preceding a
specified revision? It was my understanding that both push and pull
always transmitted all revisions from a common ancestor down to the
specified revision and that if you want to transmit a single revision
you need to use transplant.
Should the help lines read like this instead?
pull: -r --rev a specific revision up to which you would like to pull
push: -r --rev a specific revision up to which you would liek to push
