Sorry, I don't think it's compelling at the moment. I'd like to see some
consensus on a plan that figures out the bigger issue of cloning/sharing
config before attacking the smaller pieces. And I think this probably
begins with rewriting the damn parser!

Also, you sent me your in-depth explanation without a patch attached.
But I'd already cleared the patch out of my poor overloaded inbox
because it didn't have any rationale. It makes things a lot easier for
me and my very short attention span if you send me all the puzzle pieces
together.
