Use repo.repository. I moved local() into the base class and set it to
False by default. If you want to make sure your extension is
backwards-compatible, simply add the local() method to you own class.
The only other method in remoterepository was dev(), which no one
used! As we had a remote repository (statichttp) that wasn't actually
descended from remoterepository, the whole class was rather pointless.
