You will want to use 'cp -r', but it will most probably work. You might
have issues if you use some local ACL's (cp by default does not preserve
those, I think). Or if you have your apache configured to serve your
repository from given path, you will have to alter the configuration
accordingly.

Apart from that, you can move freely the repository even among computers
and architectures.
