Thanks guys, but I don't want anything except a standard distutils
installation -- every time a setup.py script has fooled me into using
setuptools things has turned out more complicated...

I like my PYTHONPATH just fine, and I don't appreciate how setuptools
mess it via the site.py and .pht files.

I guess this is gettig quite off topic for this list, though :-)
