I like the web interface. It allows translators to contribute 5-10 minutes
when they have the time, and at the same time it avoids duplicate efforts
because all translations are immediately available to others.

The process of putting a message list up for translation is a simple upload.
It does not use a RCS (like bazaar), instead version control are done by
defining releases (e.g. 0.8) of the product. Creating a project on launchpad
is similar to creating one on sourcefourge: They provide a number of
services, and you can choose which to use.

A side effect of using launchpad is that translations will be BSD licensed.
