Peculiar Error: Illegal Command

Greetings.

I'm running a Mercurial Server at work, set up as described here:
http://mercurial.selenic.com/wiki/SharedSSH. This morning I upgraded the
install of Mercurial on my server to 1.3.1. I'm getting errors like the
following now when I'm either pushing or pulling from repositories: "remote:
Illegal command 'hg -R some_repo serve --stdio'".

Interestingly, this error does not occur when pushing or pulling using
Mercurial 1.3.0, or 1.0.2, but does occur when pushing or pulling using
1.3.1.

Does any one know what's happening? I'm lost.
