I think you should create an account for yourself in the bug tracker (if
you havne't already done so) and add your comment directly to Issue883:

  http://mercurial.selenic.com/bts/issue883

When you do that, you will automatically be added to the "nosy list" and
you will then receive emails when it is updated. That way we have a
small "mailinglist" per bug where interested people can "subscribe" by
adding themselves to the nosy list.
