error cloning encoding not supported

with cp -p I have the same result it doesn't work.

if I simply pointing your browser at the oldrepo url I have a page
with the list of repos because that url doesn't exist for it .

I use the same repo (simply a link to it )  to another place an it
works fine and you can see the repo ( its link) from the web interface
