For web access tests the easiest option is to create a project and run a  local server - just run *hg serve* in the project root. If you don't  have an existing project then you could use a copy of the eric source with:  *hg clone http://die-offenbachs.homelinux.org:48888/hg/eric5*

About this matter, it's my desire to start from
scratch, so to fully test a Mecurial VCS cycle, from a new (Eric5)
Project inception, up...
That's why I assumed that to begin with a web
repository was a good starting point.
