The Inotify Bug

If you're seeing incorrect results from 'hg status' and are running a Debian or Ubuntu system, you're probably victim to the 'inotify bug'. You can quickly check whether inotify is enabled with:

$ hg showconfig | grep inotify
extensions.inotify
